The INOA Norton Carolina Rally 2015 was held at the Asheville KOA East outside of Asheville, NC from July 13 through the evening of July 17, 2015.
We enjoyed welcoming our Norton family to our INOA Norton Carolina Rally 2015. Asheville and Western North Carolina have much to offer for visitors to our mountain enclave. We have some excellent motorcycling roads with just about every type of two lane heaven only minutes from Asheville. The Cherohala Skyway and Deals Gap are about a two hour ride from Asheville and are considered by many to be on the motorcyclists bucket list. The Blue Ridge Parkway, which is a 469 mile scenic federal road, runs right through Asheville with beautiful vistas on the way to Mt. Mitchell, the highest point in the Eastern US at 6684 ft.
The Folk Art Center and NC Arboretum are located on the Parkway in Asheville. White Water Rafting and fishing are available along the French Broad River which flows through Asheville. There are many restaurants which offer everything from BBQ to fried green tomato sandwiches and biscuits to burritos. The River Arts District is home to numerous working art studios and galleries that are open to visitor strolls. The Biltmore Estate and Grove Park Inn are grand examples of the opulence from the 19th century and are open to visitors and guests. With a weeks worth of Norton fun planned for the Rally the key was to arrive early and stay late to enjoy our slice of motorcycle heaven!
